Pros

Cons

- If the wiring is not earthed properly, you might get tiny shocks while moving clothes from washing to drying

Pros
- You can throw more clothes in the midway of the wash cycle
- Faster wash cycle allowing the clothes to wash at a faster pace
- Lighter weight and can be moved easily around from one place to another
- Biggest range available - especially large capacity washing machines
- They are cheaper than the front loaders
Cons
- Consumes too much of water
- Rougher on clothes. This may result in de-coloring of the cloth.
- It’s not suitable for every laundry
- Not all Top loading washing machines come with a built in heater
Front-loader
Pros
- Comes with a built in heater
- It is more water efficient
- Tumble wash gives a thorough professional wash
- Not as rough on clothes like the other machines
- It has more cycle settings
- Many washers have a heating section for an extra hot wash
Cons
- Higher initial cost - they cost more than front loader
- Can’t add clothes to the machine when it’s in the midway of the washing process
- The wash cycle process is slow - although some models have a quick setting
- It can’t be moved easily from one place to another because of its weight
- It needs a constant place
